Bad Internet Speed around 70-200 Kbps

I took internet connection from Tata Docomo, its “Photon Max Wi-Fi”. I took it from Tata Docomo branch in Mangalam Tower, Goal Ghar, Gorakhpur. While taking connection they promised that i will be getting the speed of 1 Mbps to 3.1 Mbps. But i am getting an average speed of 70kbps to 200 kbps most of the time. I did receive a maximum speed of 1.2 Mbps few times for a minute or two. It even get disconnected many times in a day.

My photon number is 9235004389. I did complain in customer care with ref Id – 431858689. But with no further improvement they closed the request by saying that it has been solved. I visited their branch but got no solution so i raised the complain again by mailing at their appellate id. My request raised again with id- 432323147. It has been more than 2 weeks i am calling them, visiting their office but not getting any resolution. I asked them to take their connection back and refund my money but they said that the speed we promised is up to 3.1mbps, so if you are getting a speed of 70kbps that means its working fine.

I am seeing it as a open cheating from TATA DOCOMO. They are just selling their products with false promises and they just dont care once they sold it.

Kindly take a proper action against them.

    Hi,
    I am Kunal and I am also facing similar problems. my estick no is 7276090567, relationship no 990040917 and I was about to do complaint for the same. These Tata Docomo People while selling there dongle to me promised a speed of 1.5mbps after 3GB as I have an unlimited plan of Rs 650. When I called them, they said they provide speed of upto 128kbps. But despite my several attempt to tell them that I am receiving speed in bytes/second. My laptop shows full network when connected to internet but website does not open received/send speed is in bytes.
    This Tata Photon is fraud and cheating its customer and mow these people are not attending my complaints neither replying me on email.
    I want to sue these people. Strict action should be taken against them. They sold that dongle for Rs. 2000

    Hi,

    I did receive a call from TATA DOCOMO office regarding this complain on 19-Sep 2014 at 11:30 am. They told they are looking at issue. Problem is there from there end in Gorakhpur server, which they will renovate maximum by 16-Oct 2014. I they fail to do so i demand a refund and proper action against so they dont promise something in future which they can not full fill.
    Lets see. I will be waiting.

    Hi,

    As promised by TATA DOCOMO that speed will be fine by 16-Oct 2014. I am waiting eagerly. Though from last 2 days I am not even able to connect my WI-FI. Your service is really really worst service possible. You people really have disappointed me and wasted my money. I dont have so much of time or money to waste fighting for this shit. I will wait till 16-Oct maximum. If it gets better then ok or else you will lose a customer. I know it wont matter to you as what you wanted from me is money which you have already got but still i will suggest think over it. Being a billion dollar firm, it dosent suit you to cheat for few thousand.

    I m still facing this problem…. they have not tried to resolve my issue. For your kind information, I m not going to pay the bill of Tata Photon. Disgusted and Shameless people you are. These people don’t care it seems if few r quiting their services. How pathetic is their customer service. not even bother to improve the service despite writing on Consumer Forum. I wonder where should people go now if Consumer Forum is also helpless.

    Its 16-Oct today. I did recieve an sms from Docomo saying your service request 432323147 for the photon number 9235004389 is resolved, but I see no improvement infact it hardly connects some how that too at worst speed and stays connected for few mins maximum and giving speed of smae as mentioned in starting between 70-250kbps. I just called at the branch where i bought this connection and told them that its been too long i am suffering with this connection, i am fed up and want to close it. The guy on other end said sir call at customer care and close it.
    Is that mean that you people are selling your device some how then you don’t care after getting your money ?
    Promising 1-3 mbps you are giving 70-250 Kbps of average speed ?
    Asking me to wait for 2 months and doing nothing but i am paying bills every month ?
    I have paid 2000 INR for device then every month i am paying 1000 INR and getting this shit ?
    When i am asking to return this device you are saying sir we cant return it, maximum what we can do is close your connection ?
    Did i pay you to close after some time ?
    Why the hell did you charge 2000 for that waste device, why did you promise to give a speed which dosent exist in you system ?
    Isn’t it an open cheating ? I demand my refund .. I demand an action from consumer forum against this.
