I need a serious action from Kotak Mahindra Bank against the following incident.
I stay in Howrah in my paternal home, For job purpose my husband stays in other city of India. And the pain started few weeks before.
One odd guy called in my landline number and looked for Supratim Sahu; Somehow I was misguided that they seemed to be looking for some job interview purpose. Unluckily, my landline was disturbing on that day, so I gave my mobile number to speak to them properly.
And the harrassment started. They told me that my husband once had taken a credit card from Berclays Credit card and it was 1.5 Lacs. Now Barclays had sold his credit card division to Kotak Mahindra Bank and it is named as something like Phoenix ARC Kotak Mahindra Bank. I was shocked with this news!. I called up my husband and he said that he had never have this company’s credit card.
To resolve this, I asked for the written statements. Upon this demand what they sent included only few things like : sales draft : 34030.27 Rs, Fees/ Interest : 18363.36 Rs; so total is : 52393.63 Rs. Which kind of credit card company provides this type of non sense statement? Where are the sales details? This was the first difference in the information. Once it was told 1.5 lacs and then the statement says 52393.63 Rs. I had given my husband’s mobile number etc.
Today it started from approx 2.30 PM. A guy called me. I was very very gentle to this guy. But he started with abusive obscene languages like ” Tu paisa pehele bhar de.. nehito mei dekhta hu…. Kuttiya paisa kyu nehin bharta hai tera pati? chutiya .. paisa pay kar jaldi se…bhikh mang ke paisa bhar..” . Is this a way to speak to a lady? Not only this.. I am not sure, they collected the cell number of one of my elder brother, whom I have not met for years and have thrown the same kind of abusive languages as well. My whole family is getting a picture that we(family of Paramita Mondal) are doing a fraud when I have never made any relations to these Berclays Credit Card division! I got almost 60 calls as on today from different numbers.

My question is :
1. If the credit card was given to Supratim Sahu, why this guys are calling me Paramita Monda’s permanent address and landline number? Why dont they have the permanent address details of Supratim Sahu. So it is pretty clear that there is something wrong? Legally they are not allowed to do so.
2. Second, a wife is not liable for any credit or loan has been taken up by husband. So why are these guys calling me again and again with abusive languages? Even how do they dare to call in my father’s landline number if they have the permanent address details of my husband? It is mandatory to take the permanent address of customers while buying a credit card!
3. Who has given them the authority to throw abusive languages towards me and my parents? Even the boy was asking me “apko apka pati pyar nehin karta hai? ap irritate kyu ho rahe ho? Mei tera ijjat utar raha hu kya?”
4. While calling my elder brother they said the pending in 7 lacs. Previously they told me 1.5 Lacs. The paper is saying approx 53000. Which one is correct?
5. Now if there were sales against this card, where are the details? Only “Sales Draft” does not say anything!
Now can any of you suggest what I am supposed to do? Will Kotak Mahindra Bank take any action against of those?
Also, this is a complaint against Kotak Mahindra Bank, that I had an account in Kotak Mahindra Bank; How do they dare to share my personal information to their sister concern without my permission?
Should I go to the police station and lodge an FIR?
